35 years of local urban security policies: What tools and methods to respond to tomorrow’s challenges?
12 & 13 May 2022 in Riga – Efus’ General Assembly and EU-co funded Icarus’ project conference.
As happens every year, a thematic conference was organised on the occasion of the statutory general assembly. The conference is meant to foster exchanges among members on their experience and practices in the area of local security policies according to the principle: cities helping cities.
This year, a day-and-a-half conference is organised as part of IcARUS (Innovative AppRoaches to Urban Security), a European project led by Efus that builds on the work it has been conducting on urban security tools and methodologies ever since its creation in 1987, establishing links between political decision-makers, practitioners and research.
In this context, the BSFS project partners from Efus disseminated the BSFS project and its innovative holistic solution on urban security implemented in the city of Piraeus.
The BSFS flyers were showcased at the conference, which gathered around 140 participants including members of the Expert Advisory Board and Consultative Committee of Cities, as well as Efus members and other stakeholders, notably from similar projects.
